Making hard choices and saying no to good things
This week’s post was going to be called ‘Ready to leap’. It was going to announce the launch of a group coaching program to dig deeper into my book ‘Stepping Up In Leadership’. An invitation to a webinar scheduled for next week was going to be a part of it. This goal has been in my plan since the beginning of the year. I even have a Trello board set up with a whole launch plan complete with due dates for each task. Instead, this post is about making hard choices and saying no to good things. It is about choosing to focus in on fewer goals so that I…

Growth opportunities or challenges?
Life presents us with challenge after challenge. Some days I feel strong and resilient in the face of these challenges. Other days knock me down. I’m guessing you have experienced the same. The draw is to give up, stay in a negative mindset and play the victim. I am working on a shift in my language. I recognise that growth opportunities are embedded in every challenge in life. Find the audio version of this post on your favourite podcast app: Inspiritment from Jo Koepke We all continue to navigate this changing landscape of what it looks like to work, be home and connect. Working from home is not new for me (although it looks a little different with my husband and daughter home too.) One concept that helps me is having a workday ritual, both for starting up my workday and shutting it down. I find this is true whether I am working for a full day or only for a couple of hours. A startup workday ritual A workday startup ritual helps me to be ready to…

How do I adjust my routine for this next quarter?
Audio version available through your favourite podcast app: Inspiritment from Jo Koepke I made some choices at the end of last year about what 2020 would look like, the roles I would engage in and the rhythms I would implement. Maybe you did too? I had planned quarterly reviews of my goals and weekly rhythms. The end of the first quarter would require that I adjust my routine for the next one. You see, I had given my notice for the job I was in and was preparing to strike out in a whole new direction. None of us could have predicted what this year has morphed into over the…
