Bite-sized Inspiritment Day 5: Share
Sharing words to the public is a scary thing. I find myself second guessing myself, questioning my motives and battling the critic in my head. If you have ever tried sharing something of yourself, you may have experienced this too. There is something vulnerable about putting our hearts into words and setting them free in the world. So why do we do it? I can’t speak for everyone but I know why I do.
I have long felt a compulsion to write, both privately and publically. The words push to get out and form a large part of how I process my life. The compulsion and drive I feel for the words I sent into the world is to bring encouragement, hope, and inspiration to someone else. I don’t have to know it all or have all the answers. I can simply share what I have learned and what is on my heart and pray that it touches someone else.
The best thing is that sharing like that doesn’t have to be over the internet or on big platforms. It can be in our ordinary, everyday moments with the person right in front of you. A simple word can have a big impact in someone else’s life. Who is in front of you today? What encouragement can you give?
Day 5 of the Write 31 Days Challenge using the Five Minute Friday prompts (writing for five minutes unedited on a prompt word). Fridays will always be published a little later than the other days as this word is only released on the day! You can read the other installments here.
