Preparing for a journey
How do you prepare when you are going on a trip? Are you a last minute throw things in a suitcase type of person? Do you make lists and have everything packed and ready days before? Does it weigh on your mind and fill your dreams with missed planes and forgotten key items? This week I fly out to a different city to run a leadership training event. Restoring order and how it increases my capacity
I have had a slow dawning of realisation of late. I need time to restore order. This is how I am able to pursue dreams, work on projects and have weeks of intense focus. Housework and other parts of my life may fall by the wayside at times. This is necessary. I can’t do everything all at once. I am starting to value space on the weekends to restore order, to prepare for the week. This restores a part of my soul. The secret of capacity and perseverance: Five Minute Friday
Last night I gathered with a bunch of other creatives for a night of inspiration and mingling. My introvert self was brave walking into a room of mostly strangers and making the effort to speak to people I didn’t know. The inevitable question always comes of “what do you do?”. Granted this has a slightly different spin in this setting but always a challenging question.
