Soaking in His Presence
Taking the time to stop and rest has revealed even more how much I needed it. I underestimated how depleted I have become. I sat to write the post I had originally planned and there were no words. I don’t want to have words on a screen for the sake of it. If they are not from my heart and containing encouragement or a purpose, I don’t want to put them out there. God’s delight
I started praying in my room as usual this morning while I felt a whisper to go outside. These skies full of wispy clouds (my favourites) greeted me. My first thought was the verse from Psalm 19- the Heavens declare His glory and the skies display His craftsmanship. Then a verse I memorised last year came back to me and I was overwhelmed: Zephaniah 3:17 NLT For the lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”I got such a clear sense…

Jehovah Sneaky at his best
What a tremendous privilege to work for a company that sets aside two days at the start of the year for staff to spend time in God’s presence and hear from some awesome speakers. The theme this year was grace and identity. I have so much head knowledge of these concepts but know that there is so much more heart belief and transformation needed in these areas. I was also able to see today how far I have come in this journey too. It was so encouraging to me to feel so light under these concepts although definitely challenged to go further too. There wasn’t that deep cleaning needed this…

Day 2: Daily God time, accountability and Hello Mornings
I assume that it goes without saying- for my faith to be embedded in my everyday life, I have to be spending time with God everyday. I have had flashes of consistency with this in my life, but it has always been a struggle. There have been many devotionals purchased and started, many reading plans attempted. All with varying levels of impact and completion. This year I finally realised what had been missing- accountability.
